So what's the deal with Hog City Tavern? Glad you asked...

Hog City Tavern was born out of necessity; the necessity of steering a community away from social media and the ho-hum day to day life back to it's roots. To spur community, friendship, ideas, friendly and civil debate but more importantly a return to living life instead of living life through a screen.

Traditionally, a tavern is a place to eat, drink, be entertained and sleep. While you can't sleep or order food at HCT, you can eat, drink and be merry. But also a tavern is a place for discussion, debate and lastest happenings. In Colonial America, taverns were integral in the Revolutionary War and well on into the Civil War. It has been said that a tavern is "a place where history and camaraderie intertwine".

Hog City Tavern is a modern attempt at a traditional tavern located in Lexington, North Carolina. A place to civilly discuss ideas, debate issues, get the latest news and bring the community together. All things that society needs from people, not algorithms.

One thing that will be clear, HCT is not a place for maliciousness or delinquency but a place of ideas, fun, family and community. Malicious behavior will not be tolerated.
